Identifying a mentor/research facility
- Identify a scientific topic of interest and a problem to address
- Complete a minimum of three related literature searches on the scientific topic of interest
- Read literature (research papers/journal articles or literature reviews) and determine the main objective of each study & how the information supports or negates your idea
- Perform an author search from each journal read
- Identify at least 3 additional research papers/articles written by the authors you wish to contact
- Prepare a written statement describing your intended research related goals
